In today’s world netf or Netflix has become the sole source of diverse entertaiment in one application. But in between our packed schedules it is almost impossible to stay updated with the latest releases of films & shows.

Most people are only going to watch shows from Netflix recommendations or the one that are commercially popular. When we consistently do this, we’re bound to miss out on shows that are one of a kind. Some of the worst made Netflix series like Bridgerton, Stranger things have been over-hyped by the general audience and honestly we don’t think you should waste your time over these.

Few under appreciated netf’series that everyone should watch at least one time :-

Narcos

The word narcos is an abbreviation of narcotraficante meaning drug trafficker. This netflix show is a crime drama focusing on the life of infamous drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. The plot is absolutely thrilling and reality based. If you face anxiety/stress regarding violence then watch this with someone comforting. The first season deals with Pablo Escobar’s journey to build a cocaine empire that was never seen before. Wagner Moura, a Brazilian actor played the role of Pablo and did it immense conviction. The American agent who went after Pablo is known as Javier Pena, played by Pedro Pascal. Season 2 of Narcos recived much more acclaim from audience as Pablo’s death played out as the climax. In narcos season 4 the beautiful beaches of coba mexico are shown multiple times.

The Get-Down

This show is created by Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Adly Guirgis, with a budget of $120 millions. It is a period drama, musical series representing 1970’s New York follows a rise of hip-hop culture. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, debuted on netflix in 12 August, 2016. The series is shown from the perspective of talented teenagers who are just starting to chase their dreams. Most audiences say the best part about this show is it’s soundtrack, Jaden Smith had various songs in it. Anne with an E

Adapted from L.M Montegomery’s novel ‘Anne of Green Gables’, Anne with an E is a beautiful recommendation for series on Netflix. This show came out on 19 March 2017 and continued till 24 November 2019. The story revolves around the coming-of-age story of an orphan girl who want to find love and acceptance from the around. Anne who is just 13 years of age has been facing abuse in foster homes and in homes of strangers. Anne with an E has three seasons and each one of them recieved critical recognition. Although the context of the show is dark, the story was played in a comical manner.

Dear White People

Dear white people debuted in Netflix on 28 April 2017 and the recent season will be released on 22 September 2021. This show is unlike any other, it makes audiences uncomfortable but in a good way. Dear White People was created by Justin Simien who wanted the plot to revolve around comedy-drama and satire. In this Netflix original series follows a group young black adults who study at Winchester University, predominantly white ivy-league college. Through the absurd perspective of these students societal issues like cultural bias and institutional racism comes up. This is one of the most entertaining as well as information rich series you could watch on Netflix.
